Professor Eun Kyung Lee is a faculty member at the Catholic University of Korea College of Medicine whose research centers on the molecular pathophysiology of age-related diseases, with particular focus on RNA metabolism, aging, and inflammation. Her work aims to elucidate how age-related dysregulation of RNA metabolism promotes chronic inflammation and cellular dysfunction, thereby contributing to disease initiation and progression. She has a particular interest in the mechanisms through which altered RNA regulatory networks, under conditions of cellular stress, inflammatory responses, and senescence, lead to the loss of tissue homeostasis. Through these studies, she seeks to provide new mechanistic insights into age-related diseases such as diabetes, fibrosis, and neurodegenerative disorders, while laying the groundwork for innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

Professor Seung Min Jeong received his B.S. in Molecular Biology and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Seoul National University. He subsequently conducted his postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School. Since 2015, he has been a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry at the Catholic University of Korea College of Medicine and currently serves as the Director of the Institute for Aging and Metabolic Diseases. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of aging and age-related pathologies such as fibrosis.

Professor Jeonghan Kim received his  M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Molecular Cell Biology from the Department of Biotechnology at Korea University. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral training and served as a Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States. Since 2021, he has been a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry at the College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea. His primary research interests focus on mitochondria-mediated regulation of inflammatory responses and the underlying mechanisms governing fibrosis and cancer metastasis.

Dr. Iljin Kim received his Ph.D. from Seoul National University in 2019, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the SNU Medical Research Center. He held a faculty position at Inha University from 2021 before joining the Department of Biochemistry at the Catholic University of Korea in 2025. His research focuses on elucidating signaling mechanisms within the cancer microenvironment and developing extracellular vesicle-based therapeutics.
