김정한 교수는 고려대학교 생명공학과에서 분자세포생물학전공으로 석박사 학위를 받았으며, 미국국립보건원(NIH)에서 박사후연구원 및 Research fellow로 근무하였다. 2021년부터 가톨릭대학교 의과대학 생화학교실에 재직중이며,  주요연구분야는 미토콘드리아의 염증반응 조절기전과 이를 기반으로한 섬유화 및 암전이 조절 연구이다.
Professor Jeonghan Kim received his  M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Molecular Cell Biology from the Department of Biotechnology at Korea University. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral training and served as a Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States. Since 2021, he has been a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry at the College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea. His primary research interests focus on mitochondria-mediated regulation of inflammatory responses and the underlying mechanisms governing fibrosis and cancer metastasis.
