Dr. Minjeong Kim received her B.S. and Ph.D. from the College of Pharmacy at Ewha Womans University (2016, 2021). She subsequently completed her postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Dr. Daniel J. Siegwart at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she developed extensive expertise in lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-based RNA delivery systems.
Dr. Kim has published 11 peer-reviewed articles in SCIE-indexed journals, including Science and Science Advances (total IF: 186.25), with multiple publications ranked within the top 1% of their respective JCR categories. Her work has focused on elucidating organ- and cell-specific RNA delivery mechanisms and gene regulation strategies, demonstrating her ability to bridge fundamental research and therapeutic development.
In addition, she has contributed to the development of proprietary ionizable lipids and LNP platforms, resulting in multiple patents. These technologies have been licensed to leading biotechnology companies, including EnhancedBio, ST Pharm, and Sergenex, supporting their advancement toward preclinical and translational applications.
Currently, as a faculty member at The Catholic University of Korea College of Medicine (2026–present), Dr. Kim is developing cargo-centric LNP design strategies and RNA cargo engineering approaches to establish next-generation RNA therapeutic platforms applicable across a range of diseases.
